There’s something about waking up during the holiday season and seeing the snowy mountains to our west. Condé Nast Traveler feels the same, naming Denver to its list of best places to visit in the United States during Christmas.
The luxury and lifestyle magazine put the Mile High City among 22 others on their list, noting the Christkindlmarket in Civic Center Park as one of the best German markets in the country as a reason to visit.
Other highlights that won Condé Nast over include Denver Zoo Lights, ice-skating downtown, a viewing of a “Christmas Carol” and “The Nutcracker” and a visit to the 16th Street Mall’s Mile High Tree.
The magazine enjoyed their stay at The Crawford Hotel in Union Station, where guests this year can get a Charlie Brown Christmas tree delivered to their room, along with some hot chocolate and popcorn.
The neighboring states of New Mexico and Utah also had entries on the list as Santa Fe and Park City were highlighted.
