DEAR DEIDRE: AFTER having our second child, my sex drive deserted me. It hasn’t come back.
I’m 31. Both our kids have special needs but they were easy births so I don’t get what’s wrong with me.
Their dad is 36. He’s lovely and says he will stand by me whatever. I even told him to go elsewhere for sex.
I can’t stand the thought of physical contact.
When we do have sex, I separate myself from the act and just lie there. It must be horrid for him.
DEIDRE SAYS: If your partner is a considerate lover, it is almost certainly a psychological issue.
Two children with special needs present daily challenges. Perhaps you fear getting pregnant again or haven’t come to terms, deep down, with their needs.
