Kate Middleton, 41, and Prince William, 40, took their three children Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four, to Windsor Castle today for an Easter Sunday service. It was Louis’s first time attending the religious ceremony, and his big sister Charlotte appeared to be checking if he was alright as they walked up to St George’s Chapel.
Judi James, a professional body language expert, spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk to explain how the Wales children handled the big moment in front of the cameras.
She claimed: “It was clear at the Jubilee that Charlotte is happily taking over the role of mentor for both George and Louis.
“But her constant glances and smiles of approval for Louis here show she is like a wing-woman to her mum when it comes to keeping an eye on the youngest Wales child.”
At the Platinum Jubilee in 2022, Charlotte would nudge her two brothers whenever they appeared to misbehave slightly.
Prince Louis famously pulled faces at the Platinum Jubilee Pageant to his mother, the Princess of Wales, which delighted royal fans and commentators alike.
However, Judi argues that the youngest Wales child acted completely differently today than he did 10 months ago.
She opined: “Louis was on his very best behaviour at this Easter service and Charlotte’s smile will have been like a seal of approval for his ability to get it right.
“He might have been holding his mother’s hand and getting glances of pride from Kate.

“But the looks from his big sister will also have gone a long way to ensuring his behaviour was much more grown-up and impeccable than it was at the Jubilee.”
Judi gave some insight into how Princess Charlotte likely acts at their home Adelaide Cottage when it comes to her relationship with her parents and siblings.
She suggested: “Charlotte seems like the sibling that might rule the roost at home.
“The glances and smiles at Louis today were one example of her more dominant behaviour.
“But she has also been seen nudging her older brother George to ensure he gets the protocol right, too.”
Judi explained how George and Louis may feel about their sister being the “dominant” Wales child.
She claimed: “Neither boy seems put out to be ordered around by their sister.
“This suggests that she is accepted as sibling alpha when it comes to public outings like this one.”
King Charles and Queen Camilla led the Royal Family today at the Easter Mattins Service at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
Other members of the Royal Family that were present for the service included Princess Anne, Zara and Mike Tindall, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and Peter Phillips.
Princess Eugenie, who is heavily pregnant, stepped out for today’s service with her husband Jack Brooksbank and father Prince Andrew.
The new Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, also made an appearance today.
