Im married but always manage to fit in an extra lover – or six. | The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: I have a wife, a girlfriend, two casual relationships at work, an ex who I still have sex with, countless one night stands and it’s still not enough.

My friends take the Mick out of me and say they’d love a fraction of the action I enjoy.

But I know there is something wrong with me because I can’t stop having sex with different people.

I am a 27-year-old married man. My wife is 26. We have been married for just over a year but in that time not a week has gone by where I haven’t been unfaithful.

My girlfriend knows what I’m like – she knows I’m married and mess around all the time.

We grew up together and started dating as teens.

We’ve always had an on-off relationship and never managed to settle as we have a volatile relationship.

My wife can take or leave sex, whereas sex with my girlfriend is awesome. When we are intimate we are happy but argue the rest of the time.

Sometimes I think I’d love to be a family man. But then I get a compulsion to have sex – it’s never far away and dominates my thoughts.

I work in advertising and so there are lots of opportunities to meet new people.

Plus the two women I work with both know I’m sleeping with them and seem to love the dynamic. They flirt with me constantly competing for my attention.

Even though I am not emotionally attached to either I am happy to oblige them. Most days I have sex at least two or three times.

Last week I had sex with five different women.

I know many men will think that sounds like a dream but the more sex I have, the more I need.

DEIDRE SAYS: You’re addicted to the thrill of sex and like any addiction, it’s about distracting yourself from some trauma.

If you were emotionally cut off as a child, sex has become a substitute for love.

You can have the great relationship you dream of but only if you conquer your addiction. It’s difficult to achieve recovery from any addiction on your own but you can find understanding and support from Sex Addicts Anonymous (saauk.info/).

My support pack Addicted To Sex explains where to find understanding support.

Talk to your wife and find out what would help her be more interested in sex. Perhaps you need to help her feel less inhibited or to find more satisfaction.
