The Duchess of Cambridge has always wanted her children to ‘live in the real world,’ a royal expert has claimed.

Kate Middleton, 37, who has three children with Prince William, 37 – Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, four, and Prince Louis, one – has widely encouraged them to get involved in outdoor activities and been pictured laughing at their cheeky antics.

‘Kate has always wanted the children to live in the real world,’ a royal source claimed to The Sun. ‘She and William don’t want them to live in a gilded bubble.’

‘They want them to grow up having the same experiences as other kids.’

And according to the source, Kate’s parenting techniques have been influenced by her late mother-in-law Princess Diana, who wasn’t scared to break tradition when it came to parenting.

‘Kate is mindful of how much William loved his mother,’ the royal source continued. ‘She was very unstuffy and wanted William and Harry to fit in with their school friends and experience normality. That’s the baton she handed to Kate.’

Just last week royal fans praised the ‘relatable’ royal after she was seen at a Sainsbury’s self-service tills buying Halloween outfits for George and Charlotte.

Wearing a black ensemble, the mother-of-three even asked some children what they were going to dress up as for Halloween while shopping at Sainsbury’s in Hardwick, Cambridgeshire.

Social media users were full of praise her for being in the supermarket, describing her as ‘relatable.’

Earlier that month, the family took football-mad Prince George to attend an Aston Villa match for the first time, along with his sister Charlotte.

The royal family looked delighted as they cheered from the stands at their local stadium on Carrow Road to support the Duke of Cambridge’s favourite team opposing Norwich City.

Prince George put on a toothless grin throughout the match while wearing the Birmingham cub’s T-shirt, before he punched the air as the team scored a goal – in what is believed to be his first ever football match.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge couldn’t hide their smiles as they joined their children to see Aston Villa race to a 4-0 score by halftime at the Canaries stadium.

Kate beamed as she patted her grinning son’s knee as they joined hoards of fans to celebrate the team’s 5-1 win against Norwich City.

And in September, the down-to-earth mother decided to help create a special Chelsea show garden as part of her ‘early years’ project, which explores how childhood experiences have a direct link with the issues some face as adults, such as addiction and social exclusion.

She even got her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, involved in the project.

Prior to this, sympathetic parents commended the Duchess of Cambridge’s ‘fantastic’ reaction to Princess Charlotte after she stuck her tongue out to crowds at the star-studded King’s Cup regatta at Cowes, Isle of Wight in August.

In the amusing video uploaded to their Instagram page, InStyleMagazine captioned the post: ‘Just when you thought it couldn’t get any cuter than the Princess wave. Kate’s reaction is absolutely priceless.’

While the mother-of-three encouraged her four-year-old daughter to wave to the crowds, the young royal had other ideas – much to the amusement of onlookers.

‘Just a normal child! You can’t control their every move,’ praised one, while another penned: ‘Kate’s response was fantastic!’
