Laura Dern may not have a clear go-to red carpet formula, but there's no denying that she arrives at just about every event looking polished, sophisticated, and, more often than not, a winner. Tonight was no different, with Dern wearing a pink satin gown custom Armani gown with a beaded and tasseled black upper.
Dern didn't bring a single date — she brought three. The Oscar nominee arrived on the red carpet with her mother, actress Diane Ladd, as well as son Ellery Harper, 18, and daughter Jaya Harper, 15.
Last year, Dern arrived in a somber strapless dress by Rodarte that featured a rich brown hue — rare for any red carpet — and rouched detailing alongside delicate draped panels and a dramatic sweetheart neckline. She opted for Rodarte in 2017, too, though the dress featured allover embellishment and multiple straps that mirrored the intricate geometric beading pattern that ran from top to bottom.

Between her two Rodarte looks, Dern wore Calvin Klein By Appointment in 2018. And although she doesn't have a signature look, it's clear she loves a slinky, skin-skimming silhouette when it comes to the biggest night of awards season. The white Calvin Klein creation featured one ruffled cap sleeve and a deep-V neckline that sparkled with metallic detailing.
