Molly-Mae Hague has returned to Instagram after a brief hiatus with a brand new look. The star, 22, who flits between wearing her buttery blonde hair in extension-heavy waves and in a natural mid-length crop, has just shared a trendy shoulder-length bob with her 6.2 million followers.
“Bobbbby,” she captions the stunning selfie.
Molly-Mae has visibly chopped off around four inches of length, with her ends now skimming the tops of her shoulders. She’s also given her style a bit of a 90s feel by slightly flicking out the ends of her hair. The finished effect is comparable to a young Mary Kate or Ashley Olsen look, we think!
“10/10/10/10/10,” comments her pal Steph Lam, while Jess Wright says: “Obsessed”.
“It's giving Ariana vibes,” says another fan.
A second adds: “Looking beautiful Molly, that hair length really suits you.”
Molly-Mae has been on a bit of a mission to go back to a more natural version of herself, so this shorter crop seems to be the next phase of her glow-up. The star, who’s still loved up with fellow Love Island beau Tommy Fury, embarked on her natural mission in October 2020 when she dissolved her lip fillers.
The next phase of her transformation involved undoing some of her dental work to regain her original smile. Now Molly-Mae seems much happier with her appearance, saying last year: “I just realised myself that I need to do something about it [fillers] so I went to get it dissolved and honestly it is the best decision I have ever made.”
Molly-Mae has been facing some backlash this week after a resurfaced podcast had fans accusing her of insensitivity. The Pretty Little Thing creative director went quiet on Instagram for a few days but returned yesterday with a statement on her Stories.
“I apologise to the people that have been affected negatively or misunderstood the meaning of what I said in the podcast, the intentions of the podcast were only ever to tell my story and inspire from my own experience.”
She added: “Love to you all, always x.”
We hope Molly-Mae shares some of her short hairstyling tips with us soon!
