The coronavirus pandemic is upon us, and many of us are having to work from home or, at the very least, spend a little more time behind closed doors.
If there is one positive that can be drawn from self isolation it is that its come at a time that it is traditionally associated with spring cleaning.
Yep, that’s right the ‘keep calm and carry on’ mentality of British folk will mean the upcoming weeks will still be a time when the marigolds go on, the elbow grease comes out and we all do our best to make our homes sparkle.
Well, you will be pleased to know that one woman has come up with a fabulous hack for cleaning your sink and it, rather surprisingly, involves just tinfoil, soap and water.
Sophie Louise Darragh, a member of the Facebook group Hinch Army Cleaning Tips, shared that a great way to leave your sink sparkling clean is to scrunch up the tinfoil into a ball and then use it to scrub away muck from the draining board.
The tip, which she learnt from her dad years ago, is useful especially because if you are crumpling up the tinfoil yourself you can shape it any which way you see fit.

“Great for things like round your taps as you can mould the foil how you want and get in little gaps! Then just anti bac after and it’s Clean. It’s simple and cheap and something everyone already has at home.”
She then shared before and after pictures to show how it successfully made her draining board glisten and took it from matte to shiny. Many on the group love the idea, so why not give it a try?
