Every parent knows that it can be difficult to plan dinner when you have kids.
Whether it’s their ever-changing list of likes and dislikes, picky eaters, tantrums or the universally annoying “but I’m not hungry” – what you want doesn’t tend to fly.
So those who want to save money, and aggro, try to plan ahead with all of this in mind.
While it won't stop them from fussing, it does mean that you'll always have what you need in the house and can plan nutritious and delicious dinners (even if they don't eat them in the end).
Now, one mum has been crowned the “organisational queen” online after sharing her detailed meal schedule and weekly shopping list.
The Aussie mum shared her list on Facebook and showed her plan for school lunches which were subgrouped into sections “F, R and L”.
These mean fruit, recess and lunch.

Also in the plan was a list of tasty sounding dinners, including paella with scallops, bolognese and Thai soup Tom Kha Gai.
Posting the list to the group Lunchbox Mums the parent said: "Does anyone else pre-plan their kids school lunches (and dinners) for the week, each week?
“My brain loves lists, makes me feel like I'm organised.”
She continued: “[It] helps with the food shop, too, so I don't have to pop into the shop every day after work for forgotten bits and pieces!”
The list was praised in the group for showing the mum’s extreme organisation and left some of the other parents feeling envious.
One commenter said: "I wish I could be this organised. I plan 12-24 hours ahead and shop every other day."
Another added: "I wish I had this skill and level of organisation! I'm currently just doing the random trips to the shops for the forgotten items."
Many lauded her note taking as a “great idea” and said they would be trying it.
But it seems the mum is far from the only list-lover who plans her kids meals.
Many of the other parents said that they, too, liked to religiously plan the meals they would be serving.
One wrote: "I use OneNote for our meal plans and shopping list so both my husband and I can access via our mobiles. We also store our recipes there too. Makes organising food much easier!"
Another said: "I do exactly the same. I have a dedicated meal prep custom made book!"
Yet more of the mums wanted to know which planner she used, and a helpful group member stepped up to say she had the same one.

She said: "I love my Steph Pase planner too! Also grabbed the calendar and these magnetic lists from My Organised Chaos.
“The larger calendar I just write like ‘dentist’ under the name and all the details like time and place is in the planner.”
We’ll have to give it a shot!
Although, unfortunately, I don’t think it will stop kids from kicking up a fuss at dinner anytime soon.
