Pomegranate slicing hack goes viral on Twitter – it’s seriously life-changing

This has definitely been a huge year for food-related hack videos.

Earlier this year, the social media world was left stunned when a woman shared her amazing garlic-peeling skills.

Now for those who can’t think of anything more worse – and messy – than peeling a pomegranate will love this new hack.

A video of a person slicing up the fruit has gone viral on Twitter and it’ll totally blow your mind.

The clip has had almost three million views and has been shared thousands of times on the social media platform.

It shows the fruit attached to the tree as it’s cut and is then effortlessly sliced into six perfect and juicy segments.

The video was shared by an account called @engineeringvids and has most definitely opened our eyes to how we slice our pomegranates.

Many people dubbed the hack as “amazing” and “genius”.

One user said: “This is life changing! Thanks!"

Another added: "Wow!!!! Simply Wow!"

A third commented: "Obscenely beautiful."

However, not every Twitter user was convinced the method would actually work.

They were also suspicious about the lack of juice on the person’s hands, wondering if the video was fake.

Meanwhile, comedy Dana Goldberg tried the pomegranate hack herself and it worked.

Social media strategist Josh Billinson added: “It does but I’m lazy so I’ll just cut it however and then break it apart submerged in a bowl of water to separate the seeds from the flesh super easily."

While author Cassie St Onge claimed that it was not "as easy as it looks, but not a bad method".
