Princess Beatrice Engagement News Snubbed By Meghan, Harry, William, and Kate

Princess Beatrice could not be happier about marrying Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, but there are other members of the royal family who might not be thrilled about their coming nuptials. Beatrice’s sister, Princess Eugenie, announced the exciting news on social media this week, and most of the royals congratulated the couple online. But the engagement announcement was curiously snubbed by Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Kate Middleton, and Prince William. So why didn’t they post anything about Beatrice’s engagement?

Princess Beatrice gets engaged

Beatrice and Mozzi have only been dating since 2018, thoughthey have known each other since childhood. During a recent trip to Italy,Mozzie proposed to Beatrice with a gorgeous diamond ring that won her overimmediately.

The couple kept the engagement a secret until this week whenEugenie shared some engagement photos on social media.

Following the announcement, several members of the royalfamily expressed their excitement about Princess Beatrice’s engagement online.

This includes Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles, PrinceAndrew, and Sarah Ferguson, all of whom shared some adorable pics of thecouple.

According to Express,Beatrice and Mozzi later issued a statement regarding their engagement. Thecouple told their fans that they cannot wait to tie the knot and are preparingfor many years of happiness together.

“We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement,” the statement read. “We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to actually be married…”

Beatrice’s dad, Prince Andrew, also issued a statement in support of her upcoming union. Andrew revealed that he could not be happier to have a son-in-law like Mozzi and is looking forward to their wedding. He also noted that Eugenie is the one who took their engagement photos

While most members of the royal family congratulated Beatriceand Mozzi, the Sussexes and the Cambridges were completely silent about theannouncement.

Beatrice gets snubbed by her royal cousins

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are currently touring SouthAfrica and have yet to say anything about Beatrice’s engagement. Instead, thecouple’s Instagram page is filled with photos of their trip, including shots ofbaby Archie.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have also failed tomention Beatrice and Mozzi’s exciting news. Their Instagram account featurespics of their latest outing to Birkenhead, where they rubbed elbows with SirDavid Attenborough.

His Royal Highness has been a strong advocate for eliminating the threat posed by landmines to some of the most vulnerable people around the world and continues the work undertaken by his mother. There is no telling if the couples will congratulateBeatrice in the near future, but it is curious that they have not said anythingso far. After all, they likely knew about the engagement long before it becamepublic knowledge and would have had plenty of time to prepare a statement.

Meghan Markle’s fans react to the engagement

To be fair, Markle and Harry have their hands full at themoment. The two just kicked off their 10-day tour of South Africa, whichincludes a slew of stops in various countries.

They are also traveling with their baby for the first timeever and are probably feeling plenty of stress at the moment.

While we wait to see if Markle and Harry congratulate PrincessBeatrice, the couple’s fans have already expressed their thoughts on herengagement – and it’s not looking pretty.

A lot of fans openly criticized Beatrice and Mozzi for thetiming of their engagement announcement, which basically coincided with thebeginning of Markle and Harry’s new tour.

Some fans slammed Beatrice for attempting to steal thelimelight, while others pointed out that they should have waited a few moredays to make the announcement.

“It’s more like Beatrice hogging the limelight duringMeghan’s South African tour,” a fan wrote on Twitter. “Couldn’t she have waitedfor a couple of days?”

Princess Beatrice and Mozzi got engaged earlier this month, sothey could have waited to make the announcement until next week. That said,they were under no obligation to wait for Harry and Markle’s tour buzz to diedown and are free to do as they please.

Although some fans expressed their support for Markle, others took to Princess Beatrice’s defense. In fact, a few people predicted that Markle will make her pregnancy announcement when Beatrice’s wedding comes around, just to get her back.

Harry and Markle have not said anything about snubbingBeatrice. William and Middleton have also remained silent on the issue, despitehaving no excuse for not congratulating their cousin.

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have not announced an official wedding date, though they are expected to exchange vows sometime next November.
