What makes it different than ordering straight from a restaurant? Tons — and we’re getting into all of it. How does it work? You can download the iOS or Android app, or simply use the website, and start scrolling through different types of cuisines available in your area. You can even get a little more specific, if you’re looking for a certain treat like bubble tea. Pick out what you want to eat, leave any special instructions you have for each item or the delivery itself, and then let your assigned Dasher take care of the rest! Pickup is an option too, if you prefer that. And don’t forget, you can even order in advance!
If you’ve ordered delivery, the next part is one of our favorites: the ability to track your order in real time. You can see exactly when the Dasher has picked up your food, and you can then follow them via map as they make their way to your home. This way, you’ll know exactly when to expect them. You won’t be left hoping the restaurant didn’t forget about you or throw your order to the wolves. You can also chat with your Dasher if need be, should your delivery instructions change or if your doorstep is hard to find!

Ordering in a group? Another extremely cool feature of DoorDash is its group ordering system, which you can use up to four days in advance. Instead of passing around one person’s phone for half an hour so everyone can order, everyone can order at the same time! Only one person needs a DoorDash account; they just have to send everyone else a link. It’s that easy!
We already thought having such quick, easy and reliable access to so many small and big-name restaurants was an incredibly convenient service, but DoorDash has been spreading its wings even wider when it comes to the pandemic. Not only does it also now offer delivery from convenience stores such as 7-Eleven, but it just recently announced a partnership with CVS Pharmacy as well, offering delivery on food, grocery, non-food and non-prescription products.
