DEAR DEIDRE: THE guy I’m seeing is only interested in sex. I was fine with that but now I’m starting to have feelings for him.
We make plans and watch films, and we have lots of very good sex, but he does not want another relationship for a long time.
My last relationship fizzled out but my lover’s ex cheated on him and he was very hurt.
He says he’s not going to allow anything like that to happen to him again.
I’m a woman of 33 and he’s 36. We’ve known each other for ages and used to meet for drinks as friends, but things got a bit heavier and we started having sex.
Now I’ve started to have feelings for him. I don’t know whether to carry on and risk being hurt.
Maybe something with him is better than nothing.

DEIDRE SAYS: It’s time to be honest. Tell him you feel your relationship has taken a positive shift and ask him how he feels now.
Explain that being his booty call along with sharing all the other things that a relationship brings is confusing for you because casual relationships aren’t your style.
If your feelings aren’t reciprocated, it may be better for you to walk away and find somebody who wants the commitment you deserve.
