MILLIONS of broadband users are paying over the odds for their internet.
That’s because they don’t switch deals when their contract comes to an end.
Here’s how to make sure you find the best prices so you don’t overspend.
SET A REMINDER: Most broadband contracts run out after 12 to 24 months. After that, the price typically goes up.
So put a reminder in your diary in the weeks before your deal expires to start looking around at what’s available, using sites such as Broadband Genie, MoneySuperMarket and Uswitch.
Alex Tofts of Broadband Genie, says: “Often customers can save hundreds of pounds by switching.”

TOP DEALS NOW: New broadband customers signing up to Shell Energy can get 38MB internet, plus a phone line for the equivalent of £12.49 a month, according to MoneySavingExpert.com.
You pay £4.95 upfront, then £21.99 a month, but you’ll get a £65.97 bill credit within two weeks, giving you three months free. Plus, you can claim a £110 Amazon voucher within four months.
But hurry as the offer ends at midnight on Friday — and not all postcodes are covered, so use the tool to check.

Millions of customers who receive certain benefits such as Universal Credit do not realise they could save up to £240 a year simply by switching to social tariffs which cost as little as £12.50 a month.
The Sun has worked with cost-of-living champion Nous to create a way to easily check you qualify.
