Troian Bellisario had ‘extreme anxiety’ dressing for Meghan Markle’s royal wedding

Troian Bellisario was a bundle of nerves leading up to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal wedding in 2018.

Speaking recently to Australia’s Daily Telegraph, the “Pretty Little Liars” alum, 34, said she experienced “extreme anxiety” while getting dressed for the high-profile nuptials, and worried about the possibility of her pregnancy being exposed.

“Of course I [had outfit anxiety], and I had it two-fold,” Bellisario told the outlet. “One, because I was trying to conceal the fact that I was five months pregnant. I was absolutely positive that it was going to be revealed.”

Bellisario attended the lavish affair with husband Patrick J. Adams, Markle’s onscreen love interest on “Suits.” For the big day, Bellisario paired her cream Temperley London dress with a fascinator, another stressor for the then-mom-to-be.

“They look ridiculous unless you’re in the 1930s,” Bellisario said. “You could get one that is an absolute piece of art, but then are you being too vain and trying to call too much attention to yourself? Or if you get a fascinator that’s very small, are you not going for tradition?”

The actress, who had “never needed a fascinator” in her life, said deciding on the perfect size “was a nightmare.”

“My stylist, Annabelle Harron, is actually an Aussie, and I called her right before I was about to walk out the door and I was like, ‘Annabelle, this is not a full hat.’ And she said, ‘It’s fine, you have a veil, you have a head covering.’ And I was like, ‘If the British press tears me apart, I can never forgive you for this.’ And she said, ‘Trust me, I’m an Aussie. I’ve got you!’” Bellisario recalled.

About four months after Meghan and Harry tied the knot, Bellisario announced she and Adams, 38, had welcomed their first child together, daughter Aurora.

Bellisario and Adams have been married since 2016.
