If you’re a Wes Anderson fan, this is Anderson at his most sublime. If you’re not a Wes Anderson fan, this is a great place to start – or perhaps finally figure out what all the fuss is about. Anderson’s work is always weird but in The Grand Budapest Hotel he tempers that weirdness (and his trademark melancholy) with very accessible humour, a fabulous wheels-within-wheels plot, and a cast to die for – headed by Ralph Fiennes as you’ve never seen him before.

Nine, TIME TBC

At the time of writing we have no idea who will be playing whom in tonight’s women’s singles final. But whoever turns up on Centre Court, we know it’s going to be a cracker of a match.

PARVEEN’S INDIAN KITCHEN

★★★

5.30pm, SBS Food

Like the dishes she cooks, this cheerful show fronted by British-Indian cook Parveen Ashraf has a pinch of this and a dash of that. She gets right down to business with a try-this-at-home recipe. Then we’re off to Delhi for street food and local colour. Back in the UK we explore the origins of some classic dishes, we go grocery shopping and do a bit more cooking. It’s nothing fancy but it is entertaining and even inspiring – especially if you find the idea of cooking Indian at home a bit daunting.
