Showcasing the heart of Corbett and Yueji Lyon's private collection of Australian contemporary art, the second exhibition at the recently opened Lyon Housemuseum continues until Sunday January 26. Spanning 30 years, the 60 works represent the first-ever opportunity for the public to view the works by Howard Arkley, Patricia Piccinini, Polly Borland and Callum Morton, among others, through the narratives of Collector, Artist, Family and Home. Winner of both the Queer Palm and Best Screenplay at this year's Cannes Film Festival, Portrait of a Lady on Fire is released on Thursday December 26. Marianne, an artist, is sent to paint a portrait of Heloise, the daughter of a French countess, who has just left the convent where she has been recovering following the suicide of her sister. The portrait is to be shown to a prospective husband in Milan. A friendship blossoms between the two women that begins to move to something more.
