THINGS are heating up in the Yorkshire Dales – but Emmerdale fans will have to wait until Friday for their next fix.
The iconic soap, which usually airs twice on Thursdays at 7pm and 8pm on ITV, will be replaced with the European Championship qualifiers 2020 tonight as England take on Montenegro.
What is happening in place of Emmerdale tonight?
Emmerdale has been put on hold until Friday as England will play 1000th international football match against Montenegro.
Manager Gareth Southgate has stated he will start a young team at Wembley tonight, as they look to seal qualification for next year's European Championships.
Raheem Sterling will not be involved after his altercation with Liverpool defender Joe Gomez on Monday.
The Three Lions need just one point from their remaining two games to ensure their passage through to another major tournament.
Should Southgate's men make it, they will be confident they can have a successful tournament, especially after reaching the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup.
What has happened in Emmerdale so far this week?
Charity is in turmoil after Vanessa ended their relationship following the revelation that she had been involved in fraudulent casino dealings with Mandy Dingle.
The vet criticised her ex-girlfriend for only thinking about herself, and subsequently ended their relationship.
Things got worse for the mother of three as her youngest child Moses was taken away after he was caught in the middle of her other ex Cain Dingle's dodgy dealings.
Cain and nephew Aaron, who are both reeling after seeing their marriages crumble before their very eyes, have begun selling stolen cars.
But things didn't go quite to plan when the previous owner of the cars caught up with them, and took Moses, who was being looked after Aaron's sister Liv at the time.
While the Dingles were working out how to get Moses back, Cain's son Nate Robinson emerged with the missing child by his side.
Charity labelled him a hero, which angered Cain and attempted to seduce his former partner, but the Charity rejected his advances stating she needed to be with her son.
Away from the Dingle clan, Jimmy King has been landed in hot water as Laurel's son Arthur accused him of abusing Jay's son Archie, after discovering bruises on his arm.
But Jimmy was quick to deny that he'd caused the bruises- since they were actually caused by an angry Arthur who is struggling with the fact that Jai and his mum are dating.
