Late last month, A$AP Ferg returned with a new track titled “Move Ya Hips.” He tapped Nicki Minaj and MadeinTYO for guest spots and today he’s back with the official music video.
Ferg’s high-energy flow is the perfect backdrop to the new visual, dubbed a short film directed by Isaac Rentz, that references the 2014 critically-acclaimed sci-fi movie Ex Machina. The protagonist orders a sex robot complete with a remote control, which seems to be going well until the bot becomes sentient and seeks revenge. Robotic twerking, free throws on a basketball court, and some X-rated events ensue. The video also comes with the announcement that his Floor Seats II project is on the way, set to release in the near future. Ferg’s first installment of Floor Seats released back in August 2019.
Earlier this year A$AP Ferg revisited his time in Australia before the coronavirus quarantines with his “Some Type of Way Freestyle”. He also captured an empty New York City in his “Value” visual. Part of that rollout included Ferg taking to social media to post about numerous ways to help during the time of crisis, including his donation of food to the first response workers at Harlem Hospital Center.
