Dan Walker has revealed he has reached out to the driver involved in his horror car crash – and hopes he can settle the matter "out of court".
The Channel 5 presenter narrowly avoided death last Monday (February 20) when his bike collided with a car – and he was left with a bloodied face.
The Strictly star was trying to catch a train in Sheffield when the near-fatal accident occurred, which left him unconscious and unable to remember details of the event.

Dan, 45, shared snaps of his grisly injuries on Twitter and admitted he was "glad to be alive" after the accident.
But he would like to speak to the driver and is hoping the matter can be sorted outside the courts.
In his latest column for The Times, he said: "There is still nothing there, which a large part of me is very happy about.
"I can't go into details at the moment because the police might take another week or so to publish their report but, after talking to Conor (a police officer), I am confident that I am not to blame and I hope this can be resolved outside the courts.
"I know I could have died but I also know how easy it is to make a mistake, even when you're trying to be careful."
He added that he cannot remember what the driver looked like but recalled that they looked deeply distressed.
Dan also feared that the crash might be "all they are thinking about at the moment."
It comes after Dan offered a health update on Friday following the accident.
He wrote: "2 things happened today… 1. I had my first solid food since Monday. 2. I ordered a new cycling helmet
"Thank you for all the lovely messages & for asking how I’m doing. The swelling is going down but the body is still aching."
The former BBC Breakfast star previously told fans he was unable to use his left hand and couldn't eat solid foods.
