Ex-Love Island contestant Jay Younger has been hospitalised after an injury that meant his pec needed to be 'reattached'.
Jay, 29, who appeared in the 2022 series of the hit ITV dating show, posted an update to his loyal fans on Instagram on Sunday (September 30). In the snap, Jay was seen resting up in a hospital bed with a vast amount of dressing around his armpits, whilst his arm was left in a sling.
Younger confessed to fans that he had to have his "pec reattached" after tearing it during an intense workout. But he was quick to reassure fans that he would be back in the gym in time – "after a bit of rehab," he joked.

Captioning the post, Jay wrote: "My pec has been reattached after I tore it during a training sesh. Jeezy peeps man 🙂 I’ll be back at it after a bit of rehab". He also uploaded a pic of his referral form in the hospital, which said he had sustained a "right pectoralis major rupture".
Thankfully for Jay, doctors who examined the Love Island star wrote in his chart that there had been "no further significant finding". As a result, Jay has been left to recover so he can get back to training as soon as possible.
Love Island fans who fell in love with the hunk immediately took to the comments section to send their love and support, with one user writing: "Speedy recovery man". A second fan commented: "Geez, that's a sore one! Speedy recovery mate".
Whilst a third joked: "I respect how you're still up to pulling your hospital scrubs off for a great body shot, even after an operation. The smile says you're on the mend anyways!".
Jay has been relatively quiet after causing a stir in the villa in 2022's edition of Love Island. Younger helped to cause one of the biggest bust-ups in the series after secretly snogging Ekin-Su, whilst she was with partner Davide.
Since his stint on the show, he has kept himself to himself – appearing in social media comedy sketches, as well as keeping fans updated on his work out routines. But Jay was thrown back into the limelight earlier in the year when ex-girlfriend Mal was on this year's edition of the dating show.
Dating Jay for six months, the bombshell warned girls away from the cheeky chap. She described her relationship with the 29-year-old as "brutal, cutthroat and selfish".
