Niall Horan has revealed he was cared for by airline staff after falling "extremely ill" on a recent flight.
Posting to Twitter on Thursday, the 28-year-old former One Direction star said he was struck down by a mystery illness while flying with British Airways, leading him to reach out to staff for support.
He later thanked the onboard cabin crew for their assistance.
Niall wrote: "Thank you to the staff on that @British_Airways flight. I was extremely ill and they took such good care of me."
British Airways later responded to the tweet.
A social media spokesperson for the airline said: "Thanks for your lovely comments about the care you received from our crew on your flight, Niall.
"We'll be sure to pass on your thanks to them."
While Niall didn't reveal what had caused him to fall unwell on the flight, the singer is scheduled to appear via video-link from Los Angeles on The Late Late Show in Ireland later this evening.
It's believed he is still going ahead with the appearance.
Following Niall's concerning illness tweet, fans rushed to send support his way.
Replying to his post, one fan wrote: "I hope you're feeling better now Niall!"
Another commented: "Sorry you weren't feeling well, Niall! Glad they were helpful to you, and I hope you're feeling much better now."
A third wrote: "Hopefully you're okay now!! Thank you to the staff for taking care of you!!"
Meanwhile, a fourth responded: "So sorry to hear you were not well! And when you're stuck on a flight, too? Ugh, that just makes it worse. Glad they did what they could for you. I hope you’re feeling better now!"
Earlier this week, Niall shared several photos of himself recording music in Los Angeles to his Instagram page.
