Queen and Adam Lambert have kicked off their 2020 Rhapsody tour dates with two shows in Seoul, Korea. The collaboration performed a 27 song set each night including Somebody to Love. And it was during a rendition of the hit track that guitarist Brian May was surprised by the fans’ response.
It turns out the Korean fans began to sway lit up heart emblems across the entire venue.
Posting a picture of one on his Instagram afterwards, May wrote: “Ha ha ! Here’s the evidence !
“All those swaying lights are the heart emblems – I just had to go out into that sea of poppies and give it my ALL ! Thanks – it was a privilege ! Bri.”
The 72-year-old also shared a video of the moment, which he says “made me play that solo live never before.”

“This is the screen image which gave us such a great surprise – looking out in Somebody to Love and seeing 20,000 of these hearts joyously waving about like poppies in a field was a moment I will never forget – it made me play that solo like never before !!!
“We’re sad to leave you – hope we can see you again soon. Gam Saham Nida !!! Take care dear friends.
“Thanks to Hyundaicard for the hearts , and — Thanks to Panjun Kim for organising flashlight event and superb singing of ‘39 !!!”

A thrill !!! Like a cherished old friend, FUJI-San – the perfect snowy cone of Mount Fuji, appeared beside us as we approached Tokyo this afternoon. I think I probably took my first hyperstereo of this beautiful volcano mountain about 45 years ago ! But the magic is still there. These days I like sharing this stuff with our shared IG community. Do you notice anything odd about the clouds nestling around the base of the mountain ? I could try to explain later … but tell me what you think. Very exciting returning to Japan. QUEEN’s relationship with the Japanese people has been extraordinary and enduring, and now enters yet another phase – post Bohemian Rhapsody the movie. Both in Korea and Japan, its success has been monumental, more than we could have dreamed. It’s given us a precious opportunity to make contact with a whole new generation of music fans, and I like to think that we can be a small part of global harmony and understanding. Our perspective as travellers of the world has made it abundantly clear to me that there are few things more important in the world than Peace. I pray that our leaders have not forgotten that. Bri

Queen and Adam Lambert have since landed in Tokyo, Japan where they will perform two shows this weekend in the Saitama Super Arena.
The team-up then head to Osaka’s Kyosera Dome on January 28 before a final show at the Nagoya Dome in Nagoya.
Queen’s Japanese fandom is particularly enthusiastic, with Bohemian Rhapsody being the highest-grossing movie of 2018 in the Land of the Rising Sun.
