Rod Stewart is a singer well known and well loved by UK fans, as well as those around the world. He has had some high-profile romances, but has been settled with model Penny Lancaster for some time. However, one Bond girl made some shocking revelations about her romance with him.
Britt Ekland, who is known for playing Mary Goodnight in The Man with the Golden Gun opposite Roger Moore, spoke out about her two year relationship with the Maggie May singer.
In her explosive interview, Ekland claimed Sir Rod used to enjoy wearing her knickers while they lived together.
The Bond girl alleged she split on bad terms with her partner, and claimed he was “tight” with money, forcing her to pay rent.
Speaking to the Mail on Sunday in January this year, she said: “I had to pay $100 a month board and lodgings when I was living with him.
“I would go shopping with him and watch him buy clothes from Yves Saint Laurent but nothing for me. He did used to like to wear my underwear though.
“He would wear these baggy satin trousers and needed little satin pants. Rod would wear my knickers. He liked them.”
The actress, now 77, became the inspiration for his hit song Tonight the Night (Gonna be Alright, which became 1977 top song.
In the song, there is a moment spoken in French, which was from Ekland herself.

Ekland is no stranger to a whirlwind romance, as she was first known for marrying actor Peter Sellers, to whom she was married in just ten days after meeting.
He reportedly proposed to her after seeing her photograph, and the pair – who were 17 years apart in age – were married in 1964.
Ekland stayed by Sellers’ side throughout his series of heart attacks, and in 1965 they had a daughter, Victoria, and Ekland became stepmother to Sellers’ children Sarah and Michael.
In 1968, the pair divorced, and in 1973 Ekland had a son with record producer Lou Adler, before she met and became involved with Sir Rod.

After breaking up with Ekland, Sir Rod went on to marry Alana, his first wife, with whom he had Kimberly and Sean Stewart.
They broke up in 1983, and Sir Rod had a child with Kelly Emberg, called Ruby, before his second marriage to Rachel Hunter in 1990.
Hunter had two children with Sir Rod, a daughter and son, Liam, before they broke up in 2006, and he married his current wife, Penny Lancaster, with whom he has two children.
Lancaster is a regular TV guest, most recently on Loose Women, on which Sir Rod has also appeared alongside his wife.
In Sir Rod’s most recent news, the singer and his son Sean’s assault case is due to be heard in a Florida court, as he is accused of punching a security guard at The Breakers hotel on December 31.
The singer denies these claims, as does his son, and the pair pleaded not guilty through their legal representation at a previous hearing on January 22.
It is understood they have waived their right to be present during future court hearings, so it is unclear whether they will be in attendance.
Currently, Sir Rod is preparing for a stint in Las Vegas ahead of a tour of the USA and Australia.
