Providing her followers with info on the process, the TV veteran said it doesn't ruin hair as she's had it done "several times".

Ruth, who usually wears her hair in a short bob style, then gave fans a rare view of her stunning locks which were much longer.

In her video, Rut could be heard saying: "Now I do have these just for thickness but it's very tempting to keep the long sometimes."

She also added the caption: "Time to have my extensions re-done. SO many of you ask me about these so I like to show you how they’re done!

"They’re called Keratin Bonds and they’re very small. I have them for volume…my hair has definitely thinned in menopause.

"You can have as many or few as you like and keep them long or cut them shorter. Thank you Lauren @leobancroft ….loving your work! #hairextensions #leobancroftsalon."

Sharing their thoughts on Ruth's transformative looks, fans headed straight to the comment section.

One follower penned: "Looking fab, what patience you would need to do that job it’s so fiddly!"

Another chimed: "Thank you so much for sharing and nit pretending. Sometimes I think that it's just me and that famous people have naturally thick hair."

A third added: "Think you should keep them longer x."

While a fourth said: "Always looking gorgeous, go longer this time, you got it girl."

In 2021, the former This Morning star revealed the menopause has changed her overall physique.

She said: "If I'm honest, I don't think I've ever been body confident.

"The menopause has changed my shape; my boobs are bigger, I'm generally just bigger, but it hasn't ruined my life."
