Welp, it was really only a matter of time before crafty individuals on the internet sought to make a hybrid Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber song, but I honestly didn’t think that it would happen so damn soon! Since Justin and Selena were smart enough to never collaborate with each other on a song (think of how awkward that would be for a sec), someone took it upon themselves to fashion together a remix of Selena’s recent number one hit, “Lose You to Love Me” and Justin’s 2015 hit, “Sorry.”
Music producer Andy Wu somehow found the perfect way to make these two sonically different songs sound like an emotional call and response. The arrangement of the verses makes it sound like Justin is desperately asking Selena for forgiveness, while Selena details all of the hurt and pain that Justin caused her. So literally when Justin sings “Is it too late to say I’m sorry now?” Selena says “Yeah,” which honestly made me LOL.
The video currently has over 680,000 views on YouTube (and counting), so it’s pretty safe to say that it’s gonna go viral…meaning that it’s the Justin and Selena collab that we never got, but truly deserved.
But wait, there’s more! If you’re beyond obsessed with this mix, there’s literally *DJ Khaled voice* ANOTHA ONE. Andy has been out here doing the Lord’s work for quite some time now, and made a ridiculously long megamix mashup three years ago of Justin and Selena’s music from 2008–2016. It goes without saying that it f*cking slaps, so without further ado, enjoy:
Please pray for me or alternatively tell my eardrums to RIP, because I will be listening to both of these mixes on repeat until the end of time. Thank you in advance!
