Tributes have been flooding in after the news that Emmerdale star Leah Bracknell has died, aged 55.
The former Emmerdale cast member's death was announced today following her battle with stage 4 lung cancer.
The official Emmerdale Twitter account released a statement following the news of her death.
This read: "Everyone on Emmerdale is very sad to hear of the death of Leah Bracknell.
"She was a hugely popular member of the Emmerdale cast for over 16 years.
"Leah was a very generous and caring colleague, much loved by cast and crew alike."
Other stars have also been leaving their tributes online.
Former Coronation Street star Sarah Lancashire commented: "Such sad news – the brilliant Leah Bracknell has passed away aged 55 after a three year cancer battle. Thoughts go out to her family and friends."
