Alison Hammond reveals secret Hollywood career after starring role with Daniel Day Lewis and Sting

ALISON Hammond has revealed her secret brush with Hollywood after she landed a starring role alongside Daniel Day Lewis and Sting.

The 47-year-old presenter dropped the bombshell on Holly Willoughby's new podcast.

Alison said she was just six years old when she got to travel by ferry to Denmark to film the flick with her mum Maria Foster and older brother Nicky.

Speaking to her This Morning co-star on By The Light of The Moon podcast, she remembered: “It was the worst movie, let me just start off with that.

"It’s the worst movie I’ve ever seen.

"I was six years old and my mum got a part in this film, where she was the mum with two kids and she had a husband.

“She was like, ‘well, who is playing my kids?’ and they said we haven’t cast the kids yet.

"So she said I’ve actually got three kids, you can use two of them if you want. Alison and Nicholas.”

Alison said despite the movie being "rubbish" she remembered loving being on set with superstar Sting and Oscar winning actor Lewis.

She added: “It was the biggest flop you’ve ever seen.

“Sting was in it. He plays an angel in it. And Daniel Day-Lewis. It was amazing.”

The star has been a member of the This Morning family for nearly 20 years, after catching the eye of producers when she took part in the third series of Big Brother.

She was the second person to be evicted from the house she shared with Kate Lawler and Jade Goody, among others.

Alison was approached to do "a few months" for a segment called Diet Camp – and never left.

Stints on Strictly Come Dancing and I'm A Celebrity! followed, building on her popularity with the public.

Last year it was announced that she and Dermot O'Leary would be replacing audience favourites Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.

The decision was immediately met with a backlash from viewers, and one that Alison, who has a 16-year-old son, Aidan, struggled with after she was subjected to racist trolling and criticised for her lack of chemistry with Dermot.
