AMERICAN Horror Story’s Ryan Murphy plans to shoot season 10 this summer in a major U-turn.
The 54-year-old created the hit FX anthology series but admitted earlier this month that production on season 10 could be delayed by a whole year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The show features a different theme each season, and the next instalment had been rumoured to have an ocean theme, which would have been tricky to film under the current circumstances.
However, it now seems like Ryan has changed his mind and the tenth season could start filming this year after all.
Ryan shared a photo on his Instagram page that said ‘Does anyone know when we all get our paychecks for being on this season of American Horror Story?’
He wrote in the caption: "I’m so sorry. I’ll be sending those out this week IF in the comments section you guess what the new season of American Horror Story is about (which we hope to start shooting later this summer). The winner takes it all."

However, earlier this month Ryan spoke about his dilemma over season 10 after production was shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking to The Wrap, he explained: "A lot of what I was going to shoot was dependent on a very specific moment, it was a weather-dependent show.
"So, now, I don't know. I don't know what we’re going to do.
"I don't know what I'm gonna do next with that show. I don't know if I'll accelerate another season or wait 'til next year to shoot this one."
The final decision hinges on when production on the series would be able to resume.
Ryan added: "Until that day, everybody is kind of on pause, I honestly don't know.
"But it's a great season and I know all the actors are chomping at the bit to get into it, so that's all I know."
Ryan had previously hinted at an ocean theme for season 10 on his social media, writing: "things are beginning to wash up on shore."
American Horror Story season nine is available on Now TV, while seasons 1-8 are streaming now on Netflix.
