Dianne Buswell and Bobby Brazier found themselves in the Strictly Come Dancing dance-off on Sunday night's show – the first time they have been in the bottom two all series.
They were up against Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington, but ultimately, Bobby and Dianne were unanimously saved by the judges.
But it all seemed a bit much for Dianne, 34, who had tears streaming down her face and was struggling to hold it together as she clung tightly to Bobby, 20, as he wrapped a protective and supportive arm around her.
Dianne has been facing a tough time in her personal life of late, after her beloved father was diagnosed with cancer and has just started chemotherapy.
He is back in Australia, whilst Dianne is, of course, in the UK where she is a professional judge on Strictly and lives with her boyfriend, Joe Sugg.
After seeing her cry on Strictly, Dianne's fans took to X – formerly known as Twitter – to offer their support.
One wrote: "I hate seeing Dianne cry especially what’s she’s been going through lately."
Another said: "So upsetting seeing Dianne cry with everything she has going on at the moment. Her and Bobby need our votes next week!."
Dianne let her fans know her dad was in hospital due to health issues in early November, after she appeared rather emotional during another episode of Strictly.
In a Youtube Q&A session with fans, she explained: "I thought I would be very upfront and honest with you all. Last week I got some news about my dad’s health and I won’t go into detail, but obviously that affected me," she explained.
Dianne added: "Being away from home and not being able to support and help your family in a time of need is quite a difficult thing so I did struggle a little bit last week in terms of that. There is a little road ahead for my dad but I believe 100% he is going to be fine and we are all going to get through it together."
She recently updated fans on her dad's condition, saying she is "so proud of him" but wishes she could be by his side to "support" him in person.
"i’m so proud of you dad first round of chemotherapy today ! i wish i could be there to hold your hand and support you in person but i do know that i’m making you so proud over here in my concert every week !" Dianne shared.
She went on to joke that her dad has been talking about Strictly non-stop while in hospital, adding: "the Australian nurses and drs are now very aware of strictly come dancing as my dad won’t stop talking about it you can do this daddy xxx go mark @mark.3802 @rinabuswell".
Dianne's Strictly co-stars flocked to share their support, with Katya Jones writing: "You can do this Mark!!!" while Claudia Winkleman and Jowita Przystal both left three red heart emojis under the post.
"Sending so much loveee Di x," former Strictly star Ellie Simmonds added, and Amy Dowden penned: "Sending all my love to whole Buswell family! Mark you got this and soon it’s going to be a distant memory! Roll on 2024 where you will be watching Dianne live in concerts. Thinking of you".
