A BELOVED BBC show has been pulled off air for months with no explanation leaving fans panicked.
Medical soap opera Doctors has been removed from the broadcaster's schedule for the new couple of months.
The popular show announced it would be taking a break in a social media post on Thursday.
A spokesperson said the show would be off air until September.
They said: "Doctors will be off air and return to your screens on Monday 4th September. In the meantime, Catch up on BBC iPlayer."
It means the final episode for now aired on Thursday at 1:45pm on BBC One.

Fans have been left stunned and panicked by the news and quickly reacted to the announcement.
One said: "This is madness!! It’s getting earlier each year? You always used to break in July when Wimbledon started. Why so early? I fear this may be headed for the chop."
A second wrote: "Why does this have to happen? I get stop for the tennis but goodness start back in August! It’s bad enough it’s 4 days still."
"Happily watching @BBCDoctors then it’s announced it’s finished till September. Come on guys if you want to be equal to the soaps you really need to put out more programmes," said a third.

While a fourth fan commented: "Can’t believe there’s now a break until September! Why? No other soap does this!"
Doctors typically takes a break for the summer as the cast and crew enjoy downtime after a busy year filming.
During the last show viewers watched as Zara had some explaining to do while Emma and Al ended up on the wrong side of Rosie.
Claudia was also caught up in a family feud while on her first shift with Rob.
