Big Brother star Hallie's mother Samantha has broken her silence after her daughter bravely opened up about being a transgender woman on the ITV2 show.
During Monday’s episode, 18-year-old youth worker Hallie made an announcement to her fellow housemates.“Hey guys, I just have something to say,” she said. “Yesterday, I feel like I wasn’t being 100 per cent authentic in myself.
“I thought I’d let everyone know I’m trans, if you didn’t know already,” she continued. “I just thought I’d make that loud and clear. I’m a trans woman if you didn’t know.”

In response, the housemates voice their support for Hallie, with some giving her hugs and commending her courage. Hallie's mum appeared on Big Brother spin-off show Live and Loud on Tuesday (October 10) evening and spoke to host Will Best about watching her daughter come out on national television and fans were left bursting with pride.
Talking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: "Hallie’s mum is so precious It's so nice to see a trans person having a supportive family." Another added: "Omg Hallie’s mum, an angel." A third person posted: "Get Hallie's mum in the house and let her be best friends with Kerry." Someone else typed: "Hallie’s mum is a great role model for all mums."
A fifth social media user said: "Omg Hallie’s mum is super tall as well!." and sixth viewer said: "Crikey, Hallie looks like her mum.". A seventh fans agreed: "OMG Hallie looks so similar to her mum."
Afte Hallie shared her news with fans, Chanelle said: "Good for you. That’s very brave of you." Hallie later revealed that if she wins, she plans to use £30,000 of her prize money on gender-affirming surgery. I’m gonna get a designer vagina," she told Kerry. "And I’m gonna pay my mum back for all the years she paid for my treatments."

Speaking privately to the camera, 40-year-old NHS manager Kerry became emotional talking about Hallie’s journey. "I felt really privileged and for the poor girl to say that she wasn’t feeling her authentic self, it’s sad. But she’s told us now… and it’s been amazing."
Big Brother airs Sunday to Thursday on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm followed by Big Brother Late & Live at 10pm
