Coronation Street spoilers: Jade Rowan arrested after Hope Stape goes missing?

Coronation Street viewers were shocked to discover Jade Rowan’s (played by Lottie Henshall) true identity as she emerged as the late John Stape’s (Graeme Hawley) daughter, meaning she is half-sister to Fiz Stape’s (Jenny McAlpine) daughter Hope (Isabella Flanagan). However, will she get herself arrested as she decides to take Hope out of the country?

Jade has become increasingly protective over Hope but it was unclear why she was exhibiting such obsessive behaviour.

In shocking scenes aired late last year, viewers saw her tearful at her dad’s grave – John Stape, who used to be married to Fiz.

She has come to Weatherfield to seek revenge on Fiz, who she blames for her father’s demise as well as take back Hope, who she believes she should have custody over.

The evil nanny had secretly been gathering evidence to try and frame Fiz as being abusive towards her daughter as she drew bruises onto Hope.

Her scheme had seemingly paid off when Fiz and partner Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) were questioned by social services after allegations of abuse were brought against them.

They saw Hope and Ruby taken off of them as they were told another relative was seeking custody of Hope, which turned out to be Jade.

As things finally clicked into place for Fiz as she realised Jade’s true intentions, the latter showed no sign of stepping down as the pair later had a blazing row.

Jade is set to step things up a gear, could she see herself in huge trouble with the law as she takes things too far?

Speaking about her storyline, actor Lottie who plays Jade hinted how her character could find herself arrested as the police get involved.

Next week, Fiz and Tyrone will be left horrified after Hope is missing from her room, and they instantly believe Jade to be responsible.

However, Jade is none the wiser of Hope’s whereabouts, with Lottie stating: “Jade is horrified that Hope has run away, that is the last thing she expected to happen.

“She had no idea but no one believes her and thinks she knows where Hope is, she is terrified that her attempt to rescue Hope may have resulted in her coming to harm.

“That is one of the first times we see Jade realise what her actions have led to,” she added.

Jade makes the unlikely decision to take her half-sister home but it won’t be the last of her efforts to reunite with her.

Lottie said: “The care and love for hope is real and she knows she had put her in danger.

“She does what is the best thing to do, as much as she doesn’t want to take Hope back she knows that her plan is not working and the police are now involved.

Will Jade end up arrested after being blamed for Hope’s disappearance?

Although Hope is found, it surely won’t be the first time as Jade has another trick up her sleeve – a one way ticket to France.

Lottie also stated how her character “doesn’t care who she hurts to get to Hope” meaning there could be a dramatic escape plan on the cards.

Will Jade manage to get Hope back for good, or will she end up banned from seeing her after her latest plan goes disastrously wrong, and she gets into trouble with the police?

Coronation Street continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on ITV
