Over the past year and a half, Yasmeen Nazir (played by Shelly King) has been bullied to the point of no return by her evil husband Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) and it took a turn for the worst last month on Coronation Street. Manslaughter charges were brought against her as Geoff painted a very different picture of what happened that night.
While he has his son Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) on side, other residents are slowly starting to see him for the despicable human he is.
Fans of the ITV soap know that Yasmeen is innocent of attempted murder, as it was an act of self defence after he threatened her with a knife, yet she’s still sitting in a prison cell awaiting trial.

And this isn’t the small-screen stalwart’s first appearance on the cobbles, having first debuted as Janice, the younger sister of Ray Langton (Neville Buswell) in 1969.
But her entrance couldn’t be better timed, as Geoff’s evil scheme is starting to crumble before his eyes.
