Coronation Street: Gemma and Chesney argue over money
Coronation Street viewers think they’ve worked out a harrowing upcoming storyline involving Gemma Winter (played by Dolly-Rose Campbell).
Recently in the ITV soap fans have seen her stepson Joseph Brown (William Flanagan) complain of being ill which resulted in her taking him to A&E.
As the child was deemed fine by the doctors, Gemma was told she was overreacting, until Joseph was really sick and was sent home from school.
Taking her mum’s advice, she gives him some Lavender tea but when he collapses and is rushed to hospital, they discover Gemma accidentally poisoned him.
However, it wasn’t long before fans took to Twitter to air their thoughts on what they thought was happening with Gemma.

@soph_cheekbones added: “So Gemma’s poisoned Joseph by accident with too much lavender oil? But aside from the poisoning, is he ill or not? I’m confused. Is this a Munchausen/abuse story?”
@arcarver87 commented: “#Corrie I’m calling it now, Munchausen’s by Proxy.”
@JamieSummersTV tweeted: “Munchausen by proxy storyline is this with Joseph.”
@LunaLocoJewels questioned: “But Gemma hasn’t been giving him lavender all this time, so something else must be up.”

It looks as though this storyline is set to take a serious turn as a child protection officer called Caitlin is forced to step in.
Spoilers for the soap reveal next week, Gemma is having a tough time after her mum Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) gets sentenced to prison.
Following the news, she’s left furious but has to put on a brave face as Joseph still isn’t fully OK.
As he complains of having a headache, Gemma goes to find some painkillers for him but is soon interrupted by someone at the door.
When she answers, she’s stunned to see it’s Caitlin, who is less than impressed with what she’s seeing.
Could Gemma’s actions result in her children being taken out of her care?
Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
