Coronation Street‘s Sally Carman had co-stars showering her with support after she revealed an exciting new job away from the cobbles.
The TV fave, is best known for playing Abi Franklin on the long-running ITV soap – making her debut back in 2017.
Since then, Abi has been involved in a number of big storylines, from drug abuse to the tragic death of Seb.

But now, Sally has updated fans with her major new career move – and her Corrie co-stars had a lot to say about it.
Taking to her Instagram, Sally revealed she’ll be showing her off-camera skills as she’s bagged the position of director for an exciting new project.
The actress will be directing a stage production that will appear in JB Shorts Festival at Manchester’s 53 Two venue in October.
Alongside a poster from the production, Sally penned in the caption: "Very happy to be directing @lindsaywilliams8900 piece for the mighty @jbshortsplays this October at @53two. It runs from the 3rd to the 14th – be good to see you."
Although she’ll be working away from her Corrie mates, they soon shared their excitement and flooded the comments section with support.
Georgia Taylor who plays Toyah Battersby penned: "Love this! I’ll definitely be there."
While Sally's husband Joe Duttine, who also stars in Coronation Street replied with clapping emojis.
Dean Turnbull star Anthony Crank wrote: "I’ll defo come support youse xxx” as Rachel Leskovac, who played Natasha Blakeman, added: "Already booked.”

Away from the soap, Sally is happily married to Joe, who plays Tim Metcalfe.
Joe and Sally have been dating since August 2018 and revealed they had moved in together in November of the following year.
In March 2020, the couple announced they were engaged after Joe popped the question while they were enjoying a walk during lockdown.
The couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at St Philip's Church in Salford in July 2022.
