Danny Dyer has opened up about his EastEnders co-star's devastating exit as they drown as part of the BBC soap's 35th anniversary episode.
The 42-year-old actor spoke to the Mirror Online on the National Television Awards red carpet this evening and hailed the the upcoming scenes "unbelievable".
The explosive week of the soap will focus on Mick and Linda's boat party on the Thames for the Walford residents, which will turn into a tragedy as one unlucky resident dies.
Danny, who plays pub landlord Mick, told us: "We read the script and we were like 'Wow how are we going to do this?' but I think we've pulled it off.
"I think they're going to be unbelievable, these scenes coming up."

Danny added: "Always sad to see someone go, I suppose it had to happen. But, it's a real shock to all of us, actually. You're all going to be really surprised."
The actor, who has appeared on Eastenders since 2013, also admitted that the BBC soap had suffered through a few 'dodgy' years but was happy that it seemed back on ts feet now.
"We had a bit of a mad run, didn't we?" We couldn't quite find the right boss and we found the right boss in Kate Oates and Jon Sen," he said. "I think we've been a bit of a sleeping giant. I'd love us to win but you never know with these awards. What will be will be, eh?"
Danny confessed that he found it tough to get into his character Mick's mindset while he was suffering from anxiety.
He said: "Quite difficult actually – we don't really rehearse anything – you get the script and you go, 'Oh, I'm going to have a panic attack next week!'
'So you try and deal with it the best way you can and hopefully I've done it justice and I'm always humble about these things, to be nominated. But I'll say this – there are a lot more deserving actors than me that deserve it this year but… It's for all of us if I win it.
