Death in Paradise is a much-loved comedy crime drama show and its success has seen nine series aired across the BBC. Season nine of Death in Paradise saw DI Jack Mooney (played by Ardal O’Hanlon) return to London.
Instead, his position investigating murders was taken over by DI Neville Parker (Ralf Little) after he was sent over to the Caribbean to help out on one case.
Enticed by the surroundings and friendly natives, Neville decided to stick around and season ten will kick off with him in charge.
However, while BBC is treating viewers to repeats of classic episodes, they have noticed a glaring error.

Taking to Reddit to discuss, one fan asked why the police station was always closed up during the afternoon.
The post read: “Seems odd to me… there are four police officers in town plus the commissioner.
“In the afternoon they lock up the police station and everybody goes home. No crime at night?”
Someone replied: “I thought that odd, too, but I suppose it could be put down to a relatively low crime rate, and the implied existence of another police authority on the island which might take less serious cases but have a larger staff (the stations in question being Honore and Port Royal).
“And I might be misremembering, but isn’t there a 24 hour phone line to contact the team directly? I think one of them mentions it at some point.
“Most likely, though, perps on Saint Marie just tend to be very considerate and conduct their criminal business during daylight hours where possible. They all seem to be Dwayne’s mates, after all!”
While another fan added: “Yeah, the fact they almost never deal with any crimes except murder…is a pretty glaring issue.
“ I just write it off as that they are more of a detective unit with a separate traffic/ minor crimes department. Or there is no crime except for one murder a week!

“On a separate note, they are pretty fast and loose with their times. In the pilot, it’s dark when the first/dead detective leaves “early” but then they almost always are drinking after work at Catherine’s and the light reads as late afternoon,” the reply continued.
Following on from this, many viewers expressed concerns over the security of the actual police station.
Season eight, episode eight saw the dead bod of a ride in the most unexpected of places – the police station.

Jack and his team were tasked with tracking down the murderer and putting them behind bars.
But viewers were more interested in the actual logistics of getting the body inside considering the building was meant to be secure.
“One secure police station. Thank God no one ever broke in to steal any evidence #DeathInParadise,” a tweet read.
“The killer clearly dismantled the police station and rebuilt it around the body #DeathInParadise,” someone else joked.
Death in Paradise returns tonight on BBC One at 9pm with a repeat of series five, episode eight.
