Amy Leigh Hickman, known for her roles in EastEnders and Ackley Bridge, has joined the cast of You.
The actress will reunite with former EastEnders co-star Tilly Keeper in the fourth series of psychological Netflix thriller, which will be filmed in the UK.
According to Deadline, Amy will portray a character named Nadia, who is a literature major who aspires to be a serious author.
Tilly, meanwhile, will play Lady Phoebe. The Louise Mitchell star was revealed to have landed a role in the popular show last month, as word of You moving production to the UK was made public knowledge.
‘This will come as a huge surprise to the millions of fans of the show around the world, who got used to the first three seasons being based in various locations in the US’, a TV insider told The Sun.
‘The last thing they would have expected was for the next outing to move lock, stock and barrel across the Atlantic and feature a largely British cast.
‘But the producers wanted to provide a fresh take on the show, though Joe will no doubt be going back to his dark deeds when he arrives in London.’
Tilly’s casting was then confirmed when she was spotted filming scenes opposite Lukas Gage and Penn Badgley, as well as Gotham star Sean Pertwee, who has also joined the show.
Amy, 24, portrayed EastEnders’ Linzi Bragg, or Star as she was known, between 2016 and 2017.
Her biggest role, however, came in 2017, when she landed the part of Nasreen Paracha on Ackley Bridge.
The 24-year-old left the Channel 4 drama at the end of the third series, and would go on to feature in BBC One’s Our Girl.
