EastEnders fans were left on the edge of their seats after Monday's episode of the hit BBC One soap, as Stacey Slater finally found out the identity of her mystery stalker.
The mum-of-three, portrayed by Lacey Turner, has been being stalked by her online client over recent weeks and while viewers are aware it is local teacher Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis), Stacey has been none the wiser.
However, Theo finally came clean in Monday's episode, admitting to Stacey he is her mysterious online client, who has been giving her money over recent months and breaking into her home.
Stacey struggled to believe his confession, believing Theo not to be capable of such actions, leaving viewers at home frustrated and branding her 'brainwashed' and 'deluded'.
One EastEnders viewer tweeted: "Stacey work it out — the woman Theo is talking about is you. Even after a confession Stacey is still so deluded. She's really been Brainwashed #EastEnders".
A second fan said: "Theo’s finally confessed to stacey he’s her stalker private client and she’s telling him it can’t be you #EastEnders".
"Why is Stacey so clueless??? Theo's speaking about online dating and she's just stood there like #EastEnders," a third frustrated fan tweeted.
Stacey was left terrified at the end of tonight's episode as Theo broke back into her house while she attempted to get her daughter Lily to the hospital, after her waters broke.
She had initially managed to convince Theo to leave by telling him she needed painkillers for Lily, but once she locked the front door he realised what was happening and broke in through the back door.
Meanwhile, Stacey's ex-husband Martin Fowler (James Bye) and best pal Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) met up with the receptionist from the school Theo once worked at, in a bid to find out if their suspicions about him were correct.
The woman admitted Theo once dated her friend and explained how he'd stalked her, before emotionally saying her friend was now dead, sparking alarm bells for Martin and Eve.
It remains to be seen whether Theo was involved in the woman's death, but there's no doubt Martin and Eve will be gearing up to confront him after growing suspicious of his actions over recent weeks.
