EastEnders resident Chantelle Atkins (played by Jessica Plummer) has spent much of her married life being violently attacked and abused by Gray Atkins (Alexander Toby Smith). Earlier this week, the hairdresser’s wrist was broken by her husband, but now it seems she has had enough. Fearing for her own life and her children’s safety, will she take matters into her own hands and kill Gray? Fans seem to think.
It comes after Gray forced Chantelle upstairs to their bedroom earlier this week, where he raped her as a way of getting her pregnant.
Desperately thinking another child is going to fix their relationship, he is adamant she falls pregnant as quickly as possible.
Following this vile act, he then forced her to take a pregnancy test despite Chantelle explaining it was too early for a pregnancy to be picked up.
While the pair waited for the result, Gray took the opportunity to ask Chantelle about the conversation she had with Jags Panesar (Amar Adatia) in the Minute Mart earlier that day.

“Who was that bloke I saw you coming out of the Minute Mart with? I was on my way back from pharmacy and I saw you coming out with them.” The businessman probed.
“Jags Panesar – we went to school together. You met him, at the Ball and Chain thing, he moved in with his family to number five. He needed help carrying his shopping,” Chantelle innocently explained.
“You were in his house?” Gray asked and Chantelle corrected him: “His family’s house.”
Changing the subject, Gray asked whether the pregnancy test had revealed a result yet and Chantelle said: “Negative.”
“Show me,” he ordered not believing her.
“We can try again next week,” Chantelle soothed but Gray was furious: “Well, aren’t you disappointed?”
“Of course I am,” she said but he went on: “Well I’m disappointed Chantelle because you are the most important thing in the world to me. You’re so keen to run off and see your mum, going to some strange bloke’s house.
“I want another baby so much, because nothing means more to me than us, our family. I’m terrified you don’t feel the same.” He commented.

“Well I do, I promise,” Chantelle remarked, and went to walk into the living room but Gray stopped her.
Grabbing her wrist, he growled: “Don’t walk away from me when I’m talking to you!”
As she tried to move in defiance to Gray, he snapped her arm backwards and Chantelle cried out in pain.
Following this latest display of violence, viewers have been speculating as to how Chantelle is going to react should Gray hurt her once more.
