EASTENDERS star Jaz Deol has hinted that Suki Panesar could have a key role in taking down serial killer Gray Atkins.
The actor – who is plays Kheerat Panesar in the BBC soap – has teased the upcoming confrontation between his character and Gray.
Viewers have watched in recent months how Kheerat has become determined to expose Gray for murdering his wife Chantelle.
He doesn’t yet know about the other murders he has committed with Tina Carter and Kush Kazemi.
Sure that he can get Gray to confess with enough pushing, Kheerat recently began torturing Gray with emails from his wife Chantelle.
Now next week Gray will work out the truth.
Inviting Kheerat over to dinner, the killer plans to confront his friend – but it ends in a brutal fight.
Actor Deol said: "That's a really interesting question that we explored during the shooting period.
“Let's not forget, Kheerat has studied Gray like a hawk for over a year. Playing his chess pieces very carefully.
"So on some level, he does know, but is he using it as leverage to get Gray to confess?

“It's a showdown worth watching because of the natural build up and stakes between these two men.
“What I can say is it's one of the best pieces of writing I've encountered so far during my time on the Square and it really was the perfect storm of actors, writing and direction."

While he wouldn’t say what the outcome of the dramatic episode would be, he did hint that Suki could be instrumental in dealing with Gray.
Jaz added: “I think she would have done what any mother would have; protect her child from all possible dangers.
“And nothing is more dangerous on the square than Gray Atkins.”
