When Milly Zero announced that she was leaving EastEnders, she made it very clear that Dotty Cotton’s exit will be explosive.
We’d expect nothing less from the complex schemer, and now Natalie Cassidy has promised fireworks for her final scenes.
In emotional scenes, Dotty will say a sad goodbye to her grandma Dot following the death of June Brown earlier this year.
The funeral will be one of the most poignant episodes of EastEnders of all time, and losing Dot leaves Dotty in a strange and intense position.
We have known her to cause trouble so will she fall apart and lash out in the wake of Dot’s funeral?
It seems there may be some exciting scenes to play out.
Promising some significant tension between Sonia and Dot, Walford icon Natalie teased: ‘She’s Nick Cotton’s daughter, at the end of the day, so there’s going to be some fireworks, that’s for sure.

‘We find out some information towards the end of the week, and Dotty isn’t happy about it!’
It sounds like it might be related to Dot’s will, suggesting that Dotty may not be getting what she expected.
But how will she react; and who might be caught in the crossfire? What will drive her away from Albert Square?
Whatever happens, Milly reckons fans are in for some rollercoaster episodes.
Announcing her departure recently, the actress said: ‘After three and a half years, I have decided my journey with the icon that is Dotty Cotton has come to an end.
‘I can’t tell you how life changing and incredible my time at EastEnders has been, and how much I am going to miss it, but I am ready for new challenges now.
‘Thank you to everyone that made it so special, I have made friends for life, learnt huge amounts and made memories to last a lifetime.
‘I can’t wait for you all to watch her exit, she goes out with a bang!’
