EastEnders actress Kim Medcalf is returning to the soap as Sam Mitchell and bosses have given fans a sneak peak.
The BBC soap has released some new snaps of Sam's epic return to Walford as she will appear in upcoming episodes later in the month.
Actress Kim, 48, has reprised her role after 17 years and new spoilers reveal her character is back in town and ready to create some havoc.
Her character Sam, who actress Daniella Westbrook originally played, returns with a vengeance as it is said her return will see her "reignite old feuds".
Feisty Sam was last seen in Walford in 2016 for a cameo, with her last long-term appearance ending in 2009. Original actress Daniella, 48, played her both of these times.
Kim's debut on the soap is confirmed for Tuesday April 19, as her character returns home with her brother Phil Mitchell being in prison.
After years of being away, she returns to the place where her son Ricky lives with his father Jack Branning.
The last time Sam was in town was for her mother Peggy Mitchell's funeral in 2016, who was played by late soap legend Dame Barbara Windsor.
Kim recently spoke about her soap comeback, sharing her excitement to be back on screen again.
She said: "When the BBC approached me last year to reprise the role of Sam I was thrilled.
"She's a brilliant character and I can't wait to get back in the Square this spring and work with the amazing cast of both familiar and new faces."
BBC Studios' Head of Continuing Drama Kate Oates said of the decision: "The Mitchells are one of the most iconic families in soap and I have long wanted to bring Sam back into the family fold.
"With Phil potentially facing a long spell inside, Sam arrives back in Walford ready to take what she sees as her rightful place in the Mitchell empire.
"But with strong grudges against Kat, Sharon, Jack and Denise, to name but a few, her return is guaranteed to be explosive…"
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
