EMMERDALE fans spotted a huge blunder in last night's episode as Vinny Dingle rushed to girlfriend Liv Flaherty's hospital bedside.
In scenes aired on the ITV soap, it was revealed that Liv (Isobel Steele) suffered a brutal beating when fellow inmate Mel targeted her.
Liv has asked Mel to hook her up with some booze, which the latter refused, urging her to "relax".
When Liv snapped, a furious Mel ominously closed their cell door claiming "someone needs to learn some manners".
A final scene showed Liv lying bloodied and unconscious on the floor before the character was taken to hospital.
Understandably worried by the turn of events, Vinny (Bradley Johnson) paid his girlfriend a visit.

Vinny was met by two police officers outside of Liv's room as she is still being held by police who believe she is responsible for Ben Tucker's murder.
"Vinny Dingle, I should be on a visiting list. I spoke to the prison people", Vinny told the guards upon arrival.
But when he was allowed to enter the room without police checking his ID, Emmerdale fans went wild on social media.
"Vinny storms in announcing 'he should be on visiting list as he spoke to prison people'. No name asked for. He just walks into room. No mask as per usual," one frustrated viewer wrote.
A second also pointed out Vinny was breaking hospital rules: "How on earth is Vinny able to march through a hospital with no mask?"
Last night, Vinny tried to lift Liv's spirits up but she was having none of it.

Liv has been struggling the past few months after being wrongfully accused of murder and is now looking for a way out.
She hoped that Meena Jutla – Ben's true murderer – confessing her crimes to Vinny and Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) would be her get-out-of-jail-free card but the police are still asking for more evidence, leaving Liv frustrated.
Vinny has gone above and beyond to prove her innocence.
"I'm begging you to stop thinking like this," he told her in last night's episode.
"You think I want this? Everything rests on a coma victim. Manpreet's already flatlined once."
Liv replied, adding: "You're making it worse. Just go or I'll call security, tell them you've been harassing me."
And while Vinny is still helping her from outside prison, Liv has lost the support of her half-brother Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) who left the Dales after confessing he found it difficult to believe in her innocence.
Aaron took the investigation surrounding Ben's death to heart as the two men shared a relationship.
