Businessman Joe left the village after faking his own death with Graham to escape his step-mother Kim Tate’s revenge.
The Emmerdale hunk was shown to be alive and on the run abroad living off Kim’s money but with the news Graham will be murdered in a dramatic whodunnit storyline, fans of the ITV soap are convinced Joe will make a long-awaited comeback.
Taking to a soap forum, one fan penned: "I hope Joe Tate comes back and gets revenge on Kim Tate for killing Graham."
