THE first look at The Simpsons Halloween special sees Homer turn into Yogi Bear after a candy binge.
The popular animated series airs a 'Treehouse of Horrors' episode every year on Halloween, and this year is no different.
The episode always features vignettes which honor iconic genre stories and this year, show bosses are offering up a parody of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
The first look clip sees Homer come face-to-face with a number of versions of himself as well as the aftermath of him consuming too much candy.
The first 'Treehouse of Horrors' aired in the second season of The Simpsons and has become an annual tradition ever since thanks to how popular it was with viewers.
Over the last three decades, the show has parodied many movies from the horror genre on Halloween, but more recently, it has branched out to other genres.
These have included the Harry Potter movies and Mad Max: Fury Road as well as the family breaking from the traditional anthology format to embark on some Halloween adventures.
The first look comes days after it was confirmed The Simpsons and Family Guy will make a joint September return after the shows' lockdown hiatus.
Fans of the animated comedies can look forward to more laughs and witty commentary as they premiere new seasons.
Sunday September 27 will see the return of the much-loved shows on Fox, after lockdown safety precautions forced production to be shut down.
The 33rd season of The Simpsons will hit screens at 8pm, while Family Guy's series 19 will air at 9.30pm.
In the UK, return dates for new episodes of The Simpsons and Family Guy are still to be announced.
