Gabrielle Union will no longer be a judge on America’s Got Talent. That’s because she wasn’t picked up for another season after multiple alleged incidents. Now she is moving on multiple ways.

Gabrielle Union was not asked to return to ‘America’s Got Talent’
Union and Julianne Hough weren’t asked to return to judge another season of the competition after their first season. A report later claimed that Union had a tough time working on the show.
Variety reported that Jay Leno made a joke while filming on the show about a portrait with Simon Cowell and multiple dogs. He said the animals looked like something “on the menu at a Korean restaurant.” Union reportedly pressed for producers to report this incident to human resources, but it wasn’t taken to the department.
Hough and Union reportedly got a lot of criticism for their appearance while working on the show. Union’s hair was reportedly considered “too Black” for the show’s audience with her changing her hairstyle often.
Cowell smoking indoors also reportedly led to tension in the workplace, according to Vulture. Union “regularly” talked about her concerns of it because she’s allergic to cigarette smoke and it’s illegal to smoke indoors in California. The staff reportedly told her, “No one could stop Cowell from smoking and that previous attempts by a fire marshal and NBC executives had been unsuccessful.”
Union tweeted that the situation is anxiety inducing
The actress gave an update on the situation on Twitter. On Dec. 4 she tweeted, “We had a lengthy 5-hour, and what I thought to be, productive meeting yesterday. I was able to, again, express my unfiltered truth. I led with transparency and my desire and hope for real change.”
A NBC spokesperson released a statement about this meeting. “The initial conversation was candid and productive. While there will be a further investigation to get a deeper understanding of the facts, we are working with Gabrielle to come to a positive resolution,” claimed the statement according to Vulture.
More public figures were still showing their support for her. Soledad O’Brien tweeted, “I know it’s felt terrible @itsgabrielleu but you’re a hero for speaking up. I just wanted to let you know that.”
Union responded with, “Thank you! Support is everything! This is exhausting, anxiety inducing, and at times frightening but being able to speak truth to power feeds my soul. Thank you for inspiring us all my friend.”
She tweeted that she won’t stop
The actress is moving forward after everything. Deadline reports that she is executive producing a comedy called Black Coffee. The show follows a former basketball star who becomes a national barista champion after suffering an injury.
Writer, director, and executive producer, Morgan Cooper tweeted the news. Union quoted the tweet and wrote, “Cant Stop. Wont Stop. Let’s goooooooo!!!!!!!”
