Things became awkward fairly quickly during the latest instalment of Good Morning Britain after presenter Ben Shephard shut down his co-host Kate Garraway after she interrupted him.
While Ben, 47, discussed chef Raymond Blanc's upcoming appearance on the ITV show, Kate, 54, was evidently confused by what her colleague was saying and cut him off mid-sentence.
As producers showed photos of the chef standing with the NHS to viewers, Ben said: "So still to come on Good Morning Britain, he thanked the NHS for saving his life with a champagne lunch."
Confused by the photos shown, Kate asked: "Was that the NHS?"
"It was the NHS," Ben replied.
Kate responded: "I thought you meant he got a champagne lunch and that saved his life on the NHS!"
But Ben was certainly not impressed with Kate's abrupt interjection and jokingly told her off.
Biting back, he said: "If you let me get to the end of my sentence which you rarely do, network presenter of the year, I would have been able to explain."
Clearly feeling quite embarrassed by Ben's remark, Kate awkwardly laughed his comment off.
Noticing the pair's disconnect, some GMB fans shared their thoughts.
Jumping onto Twitter, one viewer penned: "Ooh Kate called out for interrupting."
Meanwhile, another questioned: "Any reason why Kate just shut Ben down and talked over him."
A third asked: "When did Kate turn into Piers Morgan?"
But Ben didn't stop there, as he also jokingly highlighted to the studio audience that Kate was nominated for an award and he wasn't.
However, after experiencing a mishap later on in the programme he later admitted that he can understand why he hasn't been nominated.
Although Ben called out Kate for her interruption, this isn't the first time Good Morning Britain presenters have been accused of talking over each other by spectators at home.
Last year, presenter Ranvir Singh came under fire, as viewers noticed that she often spoke over her co-host Charlotte Hawkins which made for uncomfortable scenes.
Taking to Twitter at the time, one fan penned: "Is Ranvir the chief today? She keeps talking over everyone."
