Good Morning Britain’s Piers Morgan launches attack on ‘fake’ Holly Willoughby

Piers Morgan was not pleased during today’s instalment of Good Morning Britain (January 7) when he discovered his ITV show would go up against This Morning at the National Television Awards. The controversial host wasted no time in slamming its rival and blasting Holly Willoughby in particular for her success at the awards alongside co-host Phillip Schofield.

This Morning has won the NTA award for Best Daytime/Live Magazine Show for nine years running.

Piers slammed Holly after revealing he wouldn’t be attending this year’s awards because he didn’t see the point.

He began: “I’m not going this year because it’s a total waste of time so you can imagine what will happen.

“It’ll be ‘Oh yeah, yeah, yeah’ Holly and Phill will win for the 27,000th time.”

“What happens if we win?” asked Susanna.

“We won’t win,” Piers hit back. “Holly always leans in and goes, ‘Take that you little…
